Poker Politics
This is the second in a series of columns concerning laws regulating poker. In my last column, “The Time is Ripe,” I pointed out that the huge changes in how poker is currently viewed by the public provide a friendly climate for obtaining needed changes in the law, and I discussed what some of those changes might be. This column will focus on how to achieve those changes.Holdem |

Ideas For Poker
With the holidays fast approaching, you may be wondering what to get
your spouse, family, or friends for gifts. Fortunately for you, if they are
poker players, there are probably many things on their wish lists. In
today’s column, I will try to help you solve the problem of what to give
the “hard to buy for” poker player.
There are new poker books being published constantly, as well as
updated versions of some of the best poker books that have been
around for years. Giving your loved ones books that they don’t already
have not only solves the question of what to buy, but also can provide
a means of improving their skills, which can result in effectively putting
more money in their pockets.Holdem

Holdem Poker Game
The most famous game in the casino is holdem poker and it gives skilifuiplayers the best chance to make money, but
you don’t have to wear a stetson and drink whiskey to learn the ropes.Of all the Casino Guide games, there is none as familiar
to the public as poker. Although its roots are said to spring from European card games of the middle ages, poker odds could be described as the one truly all-American game. Since the 1850s, poker has been a staple in any gambling hail,
legal or illegal. More Americans have played poker than have played golf, tennis and backgammon combined.Holdem

Cull Shuffling
In most card games where there is a stake at issue the scrutiny is so close and the holdem rules are so strict, that the expert card handler finds little opportunity to make an open selection of any particular cards. The slightest action that indicates such a purpose invites suspicion, and there is an old adage much quoted that runs, “If suspected, quit.” However, we shall describe a new method of making many selections without a possibility of the design being detected, and in a manner so natural and regular that not a movement is made that indicates anything more than the purpose of thoroughly shuffling the deck.
